I have a HP ProLiant DL360 G6 running Window Server 2008 R2 Standard.
My environment is mostly Solaris 10 based x86 workstations and a couple of odd PCs. I have had not problem configuring the raid controler and initializing the NFS sharing, but now I'm trying to do simple Unix user name mapping. I don't have a Active Directory server on the network. The users I am working with are local to the Unix workstations.
So I added five users to the Windows Server and then tried to use the "Services for Network File System", tool to map these users to their Unix counterparts. But I don't see any "User Name Mapping" selection.
All I see under "Services for NFS" is "Client for NFS" and "Server for NFS". Where is the "User Name Mapping"? I tried to find the "mapadmin" command, but that doesn't show up either. I went through the Server Manager to try an add the service, but it doesn't show up anywhere. What am I missing?
