I installed windows server 2012 standard on a 1T.B hard drive with 3 partitions, ie drive c (system drive) 348 GB, drive D 465 GB and drive E 97.3 GB. Without installing a separate an unallocated drive, I tried to create a storage pool but so rightly failed.
I logged on to a forum where I was informed that in order to view the physical drives and primordial disks in the storage pool wizard, I hard to create an unallocated partion on the drive. I then created a seperate an unallocated drive by of 19.3 GB buy partitioning
drive D 465 GB. However, after all this, their is still no physical drive or primordial drive displayed. When I use the power shell cmdlet Get-PhysicalDisk, Canpool is false. Do I have to buy a seperate hard drive or can this be fixed?
Thank you
